About the Author

Shari is the author of Walking in Faith: Stories of Hope and Encouragement for the Workplace (WestBow Press, 2011). She speaks to audiences of all sizes and has spoken at events such as the Minnesota Prayer Breakfast, Northwestern College Day Set-Apart for Women Conference, and CBMC’s Strategic Summit for Kingdom Business Leaders at Grace Church, Eden Prairie.

Authentic, passionate, inspiring, and encourage are words consistently used to describe Shari and her coaching, training, and speaking style. Shari’s background in Corporate Human Resources at Medtronic, a Minneapolis Fortune 500 medical device manufacturer, in Operations, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Global Leadership, and Talent Development gives Shari a breadth of expertise to draw from. Shari’s GE Master Change Manager training, consulting and facilitation skills complement her training experience. Shari is certified for coaching 360 Degree, Everything DiSC for Leaders and Workplace, and Cultural Orientation Indicator assessments. Shari’s John Maxwell Team certification for coaching, training, and speaking rounds out her training credentials. Shari is a co-founder of the Minnesota Leadership Center. 

On the leadership team of the Medtronic Christian Employee Resource Group for thirteen years, she has held various positions including Chairperson where she had an opportunity to play a key role in start-up and expansion. Shari served as Program Manager for Marketplace Ministries, interacting with the Twin Cities community helping to start Christian employee groups and has consulted in successful launches in corporations such as Target and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Shari is a Marketplace Chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains, USA, and a part of the Made to Flourish pastor’s network in the Twin Cities, committed to helping and encouraging others in the marketplace.

Shari has led small groups and teaches at her church, Abundant Life Church in Blaine where she serves as the Director of Community and Connections. She is a past board member with the Assemblies of God Church. 

Shari writes passionately about bringing her faith to work and has written for WorkPlace Influence, KTIS and Bridging the Gap Women’s Ministries.

She has been featured in articles in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal and the Minnesota Christian Examiner. She has been on national radio programs coast to coast, from Sacramento to Albany and in the Twin Cities. 

Shari holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an Associate of Arts and Bible from Northwestern College, Roseville, MN.
